Cal State Downhill #2, Sagebrush (04-13-02)

The second race of the California State series was held near Alpine, on the Kernan Cycle Trail. It was a fast trail that favored light bikes. Eigil's Four Banger held out just long enough to bag a first place finish. With a broken swing-arm pivot point, an ovaled-out shock mount eyes on the carbon fiber swing-arm, and Shwinn's bankruptcy still in the air, the bike is now a donor for his new hardtail!
