at Km 101, Baja 500 (06-01-02)
Since this location was just 12 miles from the start, all buggys & trucks where close to starting starting order. From this point on, it was 14 miles of a curvy two lane blacktop before the competitors would drop back into the dirt at Guadalupe wash. It'd be another six hours before we'd see them at Erendira.
