at Pit 13, Baja 500 (06-01-02)
The hill we where on was a loose, off-camber, right-hander, with deep whoops. The bikes & quads just seemed slower up this stretch. Although the herbst Trophy truck was first up the hill, John actually led on adjusted time, but the Herbst Truggy was close behind and in second overall. Both the Trophy Truck & John would later experience problems, allowing the Truggy to take the overall win.
