Stopover in Las Vegas (09-10-02)

In-route Tuesday

To use up some time between races, we stopped in Las Vegas for a couple nights. We came down the eastern side of Tahoe & drove down two lane blacktops through Nevada to Las Vegas. It'd been two years since we last visited Las Vegas so we toured the new places. The Paris was Cindy's favorite, with the Bellagio & Venetian both equally impressive, but we ended up staying at our old favorite The Mirage. In spite of a whole new crop of theme hotels sprouting up all around the Mirage, it still has what it takes to make it an enjoyable stay.
