2003 Laughlin Desert Challenge (01-17-03)

Page 4

Laughlin was a mixed bag for us. The race was run as a two day event, each day comprised of four laps of eleven miles each, for what amounted to two forty four mile sprints. On day one John started strong but a holed exhaust header on the second lap forced a stop & a subsequent slow lap until it was determined he could run full throtle again. On day two , John drove a flawless race, with each lap faster than the last, scoring a second overall in a field of over one hundred cars. The combined results for both days gave us an eleventh in class and twenty fifth overall. Our next stop is the San Felipe 250, 14 March 2003.
