Sad but true. One has to understand the daily stresses a practicing psychologist endures to justify this almost criminal lapse in automotive taste. I'm sure some time with one of her colleagues will eventually cure her.

To humor my poor young sister, I called upon a couple friends that are also afflicted by this almost viral poor taste, and together they enjoyed a grotesque ritual of ogling at this  sub-standard hardware .

Later, we tried to pry her away from that obscene display of Teutonic dementedness & let her try a healthy unpretentious sports car...  but to no avail. Oh well, she's family, so we'll just go right on humoring her!
