Trip to Italy Pompei (04-10-04) |
With our installation work moving along nicely and the weekend being a holiday, Kris, Jim & I took off to see the sights. Our stop for the morning was Pompei. The excavation is very large & the nature of the disaster preserved a tremendous amount of information about Pompei & its residents. Most of the smaller artifacts have been moved for display at the anthropology museum in Naples. We then climbed to the top of the Vesuvius, the volcano responsible for buying Pompei.
