Trip to Italy Pompei (04-22-04) |
Just Cindy & me now, we took a drive to Pompeii. One fully excavated street is almost a mile long & the principal stadium held over twenty thousand, this was a reasonably large city. Amazingly, there had been enough cart traffic to wear groves on the rock streets before Vesuvius put an end to life in 79AD.
