Trip to Italy Rome; Vatican City (04-24-04) |
With Patricia and Ron in tow, we drove around Rome for an hour looking for our hotel. Once there, we parked the cars & shared cab rides the rest of the day. The Vatican was our first objective for the day & we elected to see Saint Peter's basilica in all it's glory. This included a long climb to the top of the dome. Oddly enough, there's a gift shop on the roof of the Basilica & the women hit it with religious conviction!
