Christmas and New Years where full of unexpected surprises. Besides wonderful gifts, Mark and Karen graced us with a spontaneous visit to Alpine the day before our trip to the desert. It also rained long & hard in Southern California, making for some of the best dustless riding in the desert. Unfortunately, the previous weekend we had picked a spot in the desert that turned to mud for Dennis & family, something we really didn't expect. But the rain dried up by the time we arrived. We cut the trip short for our desert newbies, so they'd go home with positive thoughts on the whole experience.
