After a couple of winter riding seasons squelched by cracked ribs & various (medical) operations, I traded my trusty open class desert sled for Yamaha's side-by-side quad on steroids. This impressive vehicle makes do with a 660cc thumper, driving its wheels through a belt-driven continuously-variable transmission.  It has features such as mechanical high and low ranges, with selectable 2-wheel, 4-wheel, and 4-wheel drive with all differential-lock modes. We've begun upgrading the safety equipment & hope I'll stay out of harms way all season this year!
