Christmas Markets of the Danube

Why cruise the Danube in the freezing winter? Christmas Markets! We started in Budapest Hungary and worked our way up-river to Vienna, Krems & Passau Austria, Regensburg Germany, disembarking in Nuremberg Germany. The weather cooperated with only one day of snowfall in Budapest, but the temperatures hovered at the freezing point the entire trip. The quaint outdoor cafe's and restaurants we enjoyed a beer at during the summer where replaced by colorful Christmas Markets with hot spiced wine!
